I love this page. My cousin took this picture of Cassidy at a graduation party. For me, this picture just exudes PURE JOY.

Popping out of the picture

this was a very fun layout to do. It took me a little while but what fun. I had to make a copy of the photo. On the copy I cropped th picture to only have Jax and part of Chuck's arm, with that copy I erased the background. The original photo I framed, then placed th cropped section of Jax ontop of the original. You have to be careful not to resize either photo so you don't have to fiddle with lining them up. What results is this wonderfully fun look of Jaxon popping out of the photo.

Petting Zoo pages

Another bonus to digital scrapbooking is being able to use the same page layout for more than one child. These two pages are from our visit to the petting zoo in January. I used the same page and journaling, but swapped some pictures around, to focus on each one of them.

Princess & the Frog . . . how did I do that

A couple people have asked me where I found the Disney art, so I wanted to show how I "made" images I found online work for my pages.

It works best if you find an image on a plain or pretty plain background, otherwise the background erase doesn't work well. You can still do it by hand, but it is time consuming and depending on the object it can be very delicate work.

Below is a picture of the image I found of Naveen online, and then when I was finished. It makes the background transparent, so it can be placed on and background.

Princess & the Frog

This page took me a bit longer than most, I knew what I wanted on the page, I just struggled with my layout.

I also was excited to "make" the Disney elements from images I found online. It was easy to erase the background in Photoshop Elements. I also love the glass bubble detail I was able to add over Cassidy's face.

Theme Challenge 1/18

Here's my page. I actually prefer candids over posed pictures. Probably because at the moment if ask Cassidy to smile for the camera I get the over the top smile with squinty eyes.

I used a template that's been in my folder for quite some time. The word art was the perfect piece to tie the pics together.

I don't have any journaling because I have a few other Xmas pages that have journaling.
